"The future of humanity, and indeed all life on earth, now depends on us."

— David Attenborough

Hospitality asks a great deal of the earth: the produce, the miles travelled, the resources behind a single exceptional evening. We have spent twenty-five years learning what makes an event unforgettable, and we take just as seriously what it costs to deliver one responsibly.

Sustainability at Indulgence isn't a footnote to the way we work it sits alongside the produce, the craft and the guest as something we think about at every stage, because the most considered events are the ones that leave as light a footprint as they do a lasting impression. We recycle where we can, source biodegradable disposables, our ingredients are ethically sourced and seasonal where ever possible. We take immense pride in sourcing from the very best farms and the waters around Great Britain.

What goes on the plate

Every dish starts with a decision about where its ingredients come from. We favour producers and practices that protect the land and water they draw from recipes built around sustainable fishing rather than depleted stock, and produce grown in ways that support rather than exhaust the ground beneath it. Where we can source close to home, we do; where the choices on a menu can support local biodiversity, that shapes what we serve as much as flavour does.

Beyond recycling

Real sustainability asks more than good intentions at the bin. Single-use plastics have no place in our kitchens or at our events, and nothing reaches landfill until every option to reduce, reuse or recycle it has been exhausted. What food waste remains is composted on site and returned to our own fields a closed loop that carries on working long after the last course has been cleared. Our logistics are held to the same standard, with routes and transport chosen for their impact as much as their efficiency.

Our people, our community

Sustainability extends to people as much as planet. We partner with Shipston Home Nursing, our chosen local charity, through real time and involvement from the whole team rather than a gesture at arm's length. We take the same view of talent: our apprentices, from the kitchen to event management, are given a genuine route into the industry, because investing in the people who will shape hospitality's future is as much a part of this work as anything on the menu.

Held to account

This is a commitment we are still building, and we would rather say so honestly than claim a finished picture. Our environmental practices are guided by the principles of ISO 14001, and sit within the Kitchen & Co Collective's wider ESG programme, shaped by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. We are working towards formal B Corp certification as part of our targets for 2030 a deliberately external, independently assessed standard, rather than one we mark ourselves against.

It comes down to a simple idea, applied with the same care we bring to everything else: host beautifully, and leave things better than you found them.
